ഉ DESTINY'S CHILD, Emotion - A Tribute Song ~ aftermath 911, 2001

"Emotion" is a 1977 single recorded by Australian pop singer Samantha Sang for the Private Stock label. Written by The Bee Gees members Barry & Robin Gibb (who, along with fellow Bee Gee brother Maurice sang background vocals), and produced by Barry, the song was Sang's only hit single, reaching number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978.

"Emotion" was remade by R&B group Destiny's Child in 2001, it was produced and arranged by Mark J. Feist. It is a slower-tempo version than the Samantha Sang original, although a more uptempo Neptunes-produced remix of the song was also produced.
"Emotion" debuted at number sixty-five on the Billboard Hot 100 on 29 September 2001 and reached its number-ten peak position during its tenth week.

The song was heavily on radio station playlists during the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, and eventually became a tribute song to the family of the victims. [wikipedia]

It's over and done
But the heartache lives on inside
And who's the one you're clinging to
Instead of me tonight?

And where are you now, now that I need you?
Tears on my pillow wherever you go
I'll cry me a river that leads to your ocean
You never see me fall apart

In the words of a broken heart
It's just emotion that's taken me over
Caught up in sorrow, lost in my soul
But if you don't come back
Come home to me, darling
Don't you know there's nobody left in this world
To hold me tight
Don't cha know there's nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight
Goodnight, goodnight

I'm there at your side,
I'm part of all the things you are
But you've got a part of someone else
You've got to find your shining star

And where are you now, now that I need you?
Tears on my pillow wherever you go
I'll cry me a river that leads to your ocean
